Ceramic 3D head sculpture Design

This is a photograph of a clay sculpture that I made, here is a version of it in it's natural form, I then manipulated it using the Photoshop software to simply experiment with the different effects that can be implemented.

Here is a version where I have used a filter called 'dry brush', this filter doesn't seem like it does much from first looking at it but if you take a closer look you begin to tell that it softens the photograph and removes the rough texture.

Here is a manipulation that I made, I experimented with the 'hue' and the 'saturation' to see the different variations of colours that can be seen within the photo.

Here I used a filter called 'plastic wrap' to experiment with the different types of effects that can be created, this particular effect creates a rough texture on within  focused point.

Finally I experimented with the curves to play with the lighting of the photo and to see what effects are created by using this technique, personally I liked the results as the sculpture appears darker and has a vintage look to it.
